  1. Order Management: Introduced the ability to input and to maintain various types of orders: WIP, Finished Goods, Raw Materials, Experimental, and Sample. This ability allows customers to use QDMS to capture quality data for manufacturing runs for which a product and a corresponding production order does not exist in the ERP or MES. MAP customers leverage this ability to capture product quality data for prototype, pilot, and experimental production runs. This feature also proves to be highly valuable for our customers who are quantifying and justifying research and development expense deductions for tax purposes.

 PLM NCP  2.0.0

DB v2.0.0.0

New from MAP: The nonconforming product (NCP) module is based on MAP's new mobile-first PLM platform. NCP can be integrated with your existing LIMS/MES, or with QDMS. PLM NCP incorporates current best practices, including those of regulated markets such as medical devices, such as Cost of Poor Quality, RCA, CAPA, Emergency Review (recall coordination), and fully configurable workflow to efficiently facilitate the disposition process to minimize financial loss due to nonconforming product. PLM NCP functionality includes:

  1. Containment Actions – NCP's integrated workflow enables users to quickly define, assign, and approve actions required to prevent nonconforming product from further use.
  2. Quality Tickets – Containment actions often include the printing and placement of a Quality Ticket to place on the nonconforming material to identify its quality state (e.g. Hold, Rejected, etc.).
  3. Disposition – By definition, all nonconforming product needs to be dispositioned to define what to do with the product to minimize financial loss. NCP's integrated workflow enables users to quickly define the proposed disposition and corresponding disposition instructions, secure the appropriate approvals, and then assign the disposition actions to the appropriate personnel.
  4. Cost of Poor Quality – Enables the quantification of the nonconformance in terms of quantity and dollars for the initial amount, the salvage amount, and the loss amount.
  5. Investigation – Facilitates the investigation of the nonconformance, the capture of related investigation data and the investigation report, and the approval of the investigation results and recommendations via configurable workflow.
  6. Root Cause Analysis – Enables the documentation of the RCA in the best-practice Ishikawa categories: Equipment, Process, People, Materials, Environment, and Management. Supports both primary and secondary cause documentation. Once the RCA is completed, the results can be routed for approval.
  7. Corrective Actions –  Enables corrective actions to be assigned and given a due date. Warning emails are automatically sent if actions are past-due. Records the completion of the assigned actions accordingly.
  8. Preventive Actions – Enables preventive actions to be assigned and given a due date. Warning emails are automatically sent if actions are past-due. Records the completion of the assigned actions accordingly
  9. Effectiveness Assessment – Enables follow-up  actions to be assigned to evaluate the effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions over time. Warning emails are automatically sent if effectiveness assessment actions are past-due. Records the completion of the assigned actions accordingly.
  10. Emergency Review – For cases where product recall might be required, emergency review actions can be defined, assigned to action-responsible-persons, and approved as appropriate.
  11. Closure Approval – Facilitates a formal review of the entire NCP event to authorize its closure.
  12. Multi-Level Approval Process - The owner of a given NCP has the ability to require approval of each task, or not. If approval is required, three approval workflow levels are available: Standard approval, Expanded approval, and Escalated approval.
  13. Related Events - Enables users to quickly define the relationship of a NCP event to another event such as a customer complaint or a CAPA. Once defined, navigation to any other related event is enabled via a simple hyperlink.
  14. Licensing – This software product requires acceptance of MAP PLM software license agreement (SLA) with Effective Date: 8/01/15. Please contact MAP for pricing and more information.

  10. Test Plans – Introduced the Test Plan Merge functionality, which enables test methods in a source test plan to be added to a target test plan during a clone operation when the target test plan already exists.
  11. Test Method/Test Family – Introduced Delayed Test identification, which can be leveraged when defining Disposition Rules.

Dispositions – Changed the disposition logic so that if a disposition has been assigned the sample (e.g. "Approved", "Hold", etc.), and subsequently test results are added/edited and the sample is saved, the disposition will no longer automatically reset from the original disposition to "None." Additionally, a warning dialog is displayed to alert the user that the disposition will remain unchanged upon saving the new results.
  6. Sample Search - Introduced the Configurable Threshold feature, which limits the number of results returned from the database. If the threshold is met during a search operation, a dialog is displayed to the user indicating that there will be excessive results returned, and suggesting to apply more parameters filters to reduce the amount of data returned.
  7. Sample Initiation Wizard – Moved logic for creating a new sample to a stored procedure in the database to improve speed and performance over slower LAN/WAN connections.
